HD video, 10 min loop, no sound
A 10 minutes long pan scanning the surface of a basalt rock in the Jilabun valley at the Golan Heights of Israel, to reveal an unexpected artificial ‘fungus’ left on the rock by visitors.
The miniature, moist ‘slips of the tongue’ accumulate on the rock as the years go by, shaped again by the sun, the wind, the soil and the rain, turning slowly into a massive conglomerate, a group photograph of the thousands of visitors to the valley.
